南京大学机器人与自动化学院前身是成立于 2023 年的“南京大学前沿科学学院高端控制与智能运维研发中心”。学院于 2025 年经学校批准正式挂牌成立。学院作为南京大学在苏州校区新工科建设的重要阵地，是面向国家智能制造战略需求、培养未来科技领军人才的前沿交叉学院。
学院依托学校“双一流”学科优势，构建“机器人+自动化+人工智能”三位一体的创新教育体系，致力于突破机器人系统工程、复杂系统的精密控制与运维、智能无人系统、控制理论与应用等关键领域核心技术。以“厚基础、重交叉、强创新”为育人特色，形成“基础研究－技术攻关－产业应用”全链条培养生态。
南京大学机器人与自动化学院拟面向全球招聘有志于从事机器人与自动化领域各主要研究方向的优秀青年人才到学院工作。本次拟招聘准聘副教授、助理教授若干名；特别优秀的高层次人才岗位另议。

The School of Robotics and Automation at Nanjing University traces its origins to the “Center for Advanced Control and Smart Operations”established in 2023 under the Nanjing University School of Advanced Science. The school was formally established in 2025 with university approval. As a key hub for Nanjing University's new engineering initiatives at the Suzhou Campus, it serves as a frontier interdisciplinary school dedicated to cultivating future scientific and technological leaders in alignment with national smart manufacturing strategies.
Leveraging the university's “Double First-Class” disciplinary strengths, the school has established an integrated innovation education system combining robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence. It is dedicated to advancing core technologies in key areas such as robotic systems engineering, precision control and operation of complex systems, intelligent unmanned systems, and control theory and applications. With a distinctive educational approach emphasizing “solid foundations, interdisciplinary focus, and robust innovation,” it has fostered a comprehensive training ecosystem spanning fundamental research, technological breakthroughs, and industrial applications.
The School of Robotics and Automation plans to recruit young scholars who aspire to have a career in the field of Robotics and Automation. The application is open to scholars from all over the world. There are vacancies for several tenure-track assistant professor and tenure-track associate professors this year. The applicant should
1.abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, and have a passion for teaching and research;

3.have a first-rate background in academic training—specifically, a PhD in relevant disciplines, experience in studying and/or working at first-rate teaching and research institutions, and knowledge of the latest international trends and development in the relevant research field(s); In principle, the applicant for Assistant Professor should have engaged in academic research for more than two years after receiving the doctoral degree. The applicant for Associate Professor should have engaged in academic research for more than four years after receiving the doctoral degree.
4.have outstanding teaching abilities—the applicant should be able to teach core and frontline courses in the corresponding discipline, and have sound teaching methodology and strong verbal skills;
5.demonstrate outstanding research output and potential—the applicant should have publications in his/her field of research, original ideas about relevant fields of research, a clear vision about future research plans, and good potential for further academic development.
