南京大学商学院起源于1902年三江师范学堂时期的商科，1988年成立南京大学国际商学院，2000年更名为商学院，现已成为集经济与管理学科为一体的综合性学院。

学院师资力量雄厚，本硕博人才培养体系完整，是国家理论经济学“双一流”学科承建单位，拥有本科专业11个（其中国家级一流本科专业建设点9个），硕士点17个，一级学科博士学位授权点3个，及博士后流动站3个。在教育部第五轮学科评估中，工商管理获得优异成绩，理论经济学获得优秀成绩。

学院现有专任教师153人，其中南京大学人文社科资深教授2名，国家级领军人才11名，国家级青年人才8名。学院于2013年获得AACSB国际认证，2016年MBA/EMBA项目通过CAMEA认证，2024年通过AACSB第三次五年期评估。

Nanjing University Business School (NJUBS) traces its roots back to the business discipline at Sanjiang Normal School founded in 1902. It was established as the International Business School of Nanjing University in 1988 and renamed the Business School in 2000. It is now a comprehensive school integrating economics and management disciplines.

NJUBS is distinguished by its distinguished faculty and a comprehensive talent cultivation system that covers all levels from bachelor's to postdoctoral studies. It hosts a national Double First-Class discipline in Theoretical Economics and offers 11 undergraduate majors (9 accredited National First-Class Undergraduate Majors), alongside 17 master's programs, 3 doctoral programs in first-tier disciplines, and 3 postdoctoral research stations. In the Fifth Round of the Discipline Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education, both Business Administration and Theoretical Economics were ranked among the top-tier disciplines.

The school currently has 153 full-time faculty members, including 2 Distinguished Senior Professors of Humanities and Social Sciences at Nanjing University, 11 national leading talents, and 8 national young talents. The school earned AACSB accreditation in 2013. Its MBA and EMBA programs obtained CAMEA accreditation in 2016, and the school successfully passed its third five-year AACSB re-accreditation review in 2024.

Guided by the developmental philosophy of strengthening the school with talents, NJUBS places high priority on faculty development. It is among the first schools within Nanjing University to adopt the annual salary system and tenure-track system.
