南京大学化学化工学院是我国最早设立的化学院系之一，始建于1920年，后由原中央大学化学系和金陵大学化学系合并成立南京大学化学系，1993年成立化学化工学院。学院化学学科为一级学科国家重点学科，在历次学科评估中均名列前茅。2017、2021年，化学、化学工程与技术两个学科均入选国家“双一流”建设学科。
学院拥有一支高水平的教师队伍，总体规模170人，其中中国科学院院士3名、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者30名、国家级优秀青年人才40名。
学院拥有配位化学国家重点实验室、生命分析化学国家重点实验室、介观化学教育部重点实验室、高性能高分子材料与技术教育部重点实验室、江苏省先进有机材料重点实验室等科研平台。一大批具有国际先进水平的仪器设备为学院的教学科研活动提供了一流的条件保障。

The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (SCCE) at Nanjing University (NJU) is amongst the oldest colleges and departments in China. The Chemistry Department can be traced back to 1920, and was later amalgamated by the Chemistry Department of the former Central University and the Chemistry Department of the former Jinling University. SCCE was set up in 1993, and is now composed of three departments: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science and Engineering. In 2017 and 2021, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Technology were selected into the list of national first-class construction disciplines.
SCCE has 170 faculty members, 3 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 30 winners of National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 40 national outstanding young talents.
SCCE hosts the State Key Laboratory of Coordination Chemistry, the State Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Life Science, the Key Laboratory of Mesoscopic Chemistry of Ministry of Education and the Key Laboratory of High Performance Macromolecule Materials and Technology of Ministry of Education.
SCCE has established extensive international cooperation and academic exchanges with foreign institutions. It has hosted and sponsored a number of international conferences, symposiums and workshops on various topics. Many world leading chemists including several Nobel laureates have been invited to present lectures. Faculty members have been regularly invited to give plenary and keynote talks in the international conferences and symposiums.
The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (SCCE) at Nanjing University (NJU) plans to recruit young scholars who aspire to have a career in the field of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Energy Materials, Instrumentation, Biology and Mass Spectrometry. The application is open to scholars from all over the world. There are vacancies for 4 (maximum) tenure-track assistant professor this year. Higher positions for particularly outstanding scholars are available and application will be considered individually. Specific fields of research open for recruitment are:

The applicant should
1.abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, and have a passion for teaching and research;
2.abide by the ethics of teachers, uphold academic integrity, be willing to work diligently, and have no criminal record or record in breaching the ethics of teachers and/or academic integrity;
3.have a first-rate background in academic training—specifically, a PhD in relevant disciplines, experience in studying and/or working at first-rate teaching and research institutions, and knowledge of the latest international trends and development in the relevant research field(s). In principle, the applicant for tenure-track assistant professor should have engaged in academic research for more than two years after receiving the doctoral degree;
4.have outstanding teaching abilities—the applicant should be able to teach core and frontline courses in the corresponding discipline, and have sound teaching methodology and strong verbal skills;
5.demonstrate outstanding research output and potential—the applicant should have publications in his/her field of research, original ideas about relevant fields of research, a clear vision about future research plans, and good potential for further academic development;
